Malceramika - Good Ceramic Workshop at the foot of the Beskids

Boruta Bieskidzki
About herself she can say:
Edi's passion ricocheted off discovering the joy of creating Raku kilns for me. I create for myself and for you. Fire is joy and fulfillment.
For almost 15 years she has been constructing ceramic kilns, commonly known as Raku gas kilns. When you ask about the quantity, she will gladly tell you about it by the fire. She has over 1000 Raku firings under her belt.
A builder of Raku kilns and tools in various sizes, colors and solutions adapted to needs and bold whims. She likes what is new, she looks for interesting solutions. In her work, she is inspired by people and their creative needs. A good companion, a storyteller, a treasure trove of all knowledge. She says that a gray beard obliges ;)
That is why you will also find tools such as Raku tongs here. If you placed them like this along the fence, you would create a 1000-meter-long sidewalk. And the tongs are noble, strong and efficient. This is the result of taking care of the customer's needs.
He takes care of everything that makes firing and turning on the wheel comfortable. And maybe pottery is not his strongest point, but he has made more than one plate for a restaurant, he knows clay and its properties.
What can I say, in the studio you will also find a potter's wheel. This is where the need arose to create pads for the wheel to make turning as comfortable as possible.

Edi Malcer
In short, she can say about herself:
I am interested in clay. It is difficult to say how many kilograms or tons I have in my hands, but I think that adding up the weight, I have already made 5 elephants from it. When I convert it to plates or cups, you can get dizzy from this millionth amount.
It is a lot, but the studio, which is almost 15 years old, has 5 kilns, sometimes more. Two electric and 3 gas, for Raku. I will not mention the barrel or pittfires :) Now you know how it is possible :)
Organizer of ceramic plein-airs, but she was the first to organize a painting plein-air over 30 years ago.
When you look at her career path, you can say:
Artist, pedagogue therapist, member of the Association of Polish Artists - Polish Applied Art, the Association of Polish Ceramics and the Łucznica Academy Association.
A visual artist by education, she graduated from the Unique Fabric major at the Bielsko-Biała Fine Arts School under the supervision of prof. Barbara Nachajska Brożek.
She graduated from the Łódź AHE in the field of Therapeutic Pedagogy. In her art she combines these two elements: creativity and therapy. The participants of her workshops are both small children and adults. The art she creates travels all over the world from Europe through North America, Japan to Australia.
Our History
Malceramika is an art studio that was established almost 15 years ago.
It owes its name to a unique combination of the artist's name, Edi Malcer, and her main field of art - ceramics .
Here you will find unique ceramic works, from professionally prepared restaurant vessels, through tea vessels, to sculpture and exceptional Raku pottery and decorative ceramic mosaics.
The life of the workshop is full of fire, and you will find the most alternative firing techniques here, including the realm of Raku techniques - you can learn more about them in the appropriate " Techniques " tab.
You can get to know them at numerous ceramic open-air events and workshops that are organized from the Beskid Mountains to the Baltic Sea.
The heart of the studio is the beloved city of Bielsko-Biała, a land of fairy tales. The adventure with ceramics is also a fairy tale, and the world it fills becomes more beautiful and full of comfort.
Inspirations are an important aspect of creativity, and these are drawn from the beauty of nature, literature and people met on the creative path. The studio is a place where not only beautiful works are created, but also lasting and extraordinary friendships are born. It is a place for birthday meetings, pleasantly spent hen parties or other dedicated meetings.
Malceramika is an art space that also hosts other disciplines, such as painting on fabric (batik, silk) and intuitive painting VedicArt.
