A color I used to reject with every cell of my body, soul, and mind. Never ever, never, absolutely never—because since childhood, I had been in love with blue. A soft sky blue, like a piece of the sky.

With dreamy eyes, I read a book with a title about a piece of the sky, wishing it were about me. Lost in the forest, with the blue above my head and animals around me. The scent of wildflowers, herbs, and the rustling of trees.

But now, pink. Now, it’s about pink and making peace with the romantic part of my soul. About softening, quieting, and loving nature just as it is.

About acceptance, expression, and gratitude. Because that is what the heart is—it gives boundless understanding, love, and tenderness.

A small ceramic heart, pink, imprinted with delicate hand-crocheted lace—just like the kind your grandmother might have crafted in the quiet evening hours, when she could finally steal a moment just for herself.

I don’t remember my grandmother. I gather fragments of stories about her, pieces of blue sky... woven into a tangle of stitches.

Now, I embed these intricately woven stories into clay, shaping them into tiny ceramic hearts. Each one is hand-formed, carefully smoothed, and coated with a soft pink glaze.
