Fullness of femininity

A stoneware mug from the 13 Clan Mothers series

Made in my own technique, which consists of wheel turning and sculpture elements. Made of black clay, glazed with white glaze, fired at 1220 degrees. Stoneware.

Dedicated to the cocoa ceremony, it can be used for other hot and cold drinks as well as yerba.

There are a few more in this series available. I usually turn a full 13 cups, which I can also make to order.

The inspiration for this series is femininity and the theme of the transformation of femininity and the book "13 Original Clan Mothers" by Sams Jamie.

The cups differ from each other, in shade, depending on the hand-applied glaze. Each one is individual. Just like each mother, it carries different wisdom. The cup has no handle, only comfortable recesses in the skull.
