These workshops are dedicated to people involved in ceramics as well as those who are just starting their ceramic adventure. The classes will be held in a three-day block of classes.

Each participant will make 3 ready-made mosaic works to take home.

1. Ceramic mosaic of the stained glass type (40x40cm square or circle) - including glazing of available satarter, designing and cutting out your own mosaic.

2. Mosaic from tresli - on a mirror frame

3. Three-dimensional mosaic on a flowerpot or alternatively a flat pot stand.

Each participant will take part in practical assembly of the mosaic on mortar on the studio wall.

4. Various techniques of assembly and transfer of the mosaic.

The duration of the workshops is 20 teaching hours (or longer depending on the pace of the participants).
The cost of the workshops is:
~1280 PLN (payment of the reservation by 31.05.2024)
~1480 from 1.06.2024
The reservation is a payment of PLN 450 to the account provided in the e-mail. Cancellation of the reservation 30 days before the workshop date is non-refundable. The number of places is limited to 4-6 people.
The price of the workshops includes all necessary materials, as well as coffee, tea, cake and a meal at lunchtime and a vegetarian dessert.
The price does not include the cost of accommodation.

For organizational reasons, in a slightly modified form. The classes will be held in a three-day block and will include the following topics:

1. A stained glass mosaic cut from a plaster according to your own design - description of the technique, making the design, transferring the design to a clay plaster, drying, firing - to be collected after about 2 weeks (or you can take the raw work home). Discussion of assembly on a selected substrate, transferring to mesh, gluing, grouting.

note change here:

A. Due to the short, three-day duration of the workshop, the participants will assemble a mosaic from ceramic elements previously made by the workshop on the workshop wall – gluing with mortar, grouting – joint work aimed at providing practical skills in mosaic assembly.

B. Gluing the mosaic onto wood, plywood (40-40 cm) according to the pattern from the studio – the studio prepares the mosaic in biscuit in advance) placing the mosaic onto the mesh and transferring it onto a board, plywood, gluing, grouting, cleaning – demonstration work to take home. The works that the participant designs, cuts out, will be assembled at home independently.

for an additional fee (PLN 90) a coffee table on which the mosaic can be glued.

2. Mosaic made of tresela. Discussion of the technique.

Mirror frame – design of a composition made of ceramic trellises, gluing, grouting, cleaning.

Tresele made from clay slices in different colors and sizes using a special cutting roller. Similar to the first point, the mosaics will be made from tresele prepared earlier by the workshop. Each participant will make a tresele that will be used by participants in subsequent workshops.

3. ceramic mosaic on a flower pot or pot stand.

At the end of the workshop, the last element. Discussion of the mosaic technique made of tiles, tiles and broken ceramics, including cutting and breaking ceramic elements with mosaic tools, tongs, parrots, a crane breaker. Presentation of tools and the workshop. However, due to the short time of the workshop, this technique is treated as an additional one, and you can decorate the pots by combining elements from the tile with tresl. Here too, gluing, grouting, cleaning or perform the work entirely in this technique.

To sum up the workshop program.

Each participant will make three finished mosaic works to take home.

1. Ceramic mosaic of stained glass type (40x40cm square or circle) -

2. Mosaic made of tresle - on the mirror frame

3. Three-dimensional mosaic on a flowerpot or, alternatively, a flat pot stand.

Each participant will take part in the practical installation of a mortar mosaic on the studio wall.

Discussing the technique, making the work from scratch will give you the ability to create this type of mosaic yourself. The theme can be a plant, animal, genre or abstract motif. The theme depends on you, on my part I need the knowledge to transfer the project to clay. You can bring a few projects, sketches and a notebook.
